"SHOP THE WORLD", DOHA TRADE FAIR 4-13 June 2011

25°17'12N 51°31'60E   T. 37°- 44 °C

SHOP THE WORLD

With its new theme, “Shop the World,” the Doha Trade Fair will offer a premium shopping experience for all visitors. More than 550 renowned exhibitors from 31 different countries will be showcasing and selling the latest exclusive and traditional products from around the globe.
Participating countries include Bangladesh, Canada, China, Egypt, France, Hong Kong, India, Iran, Italy, Jordan, Kenya, Korea, KSA, Kuwait, Lebanon, Malaysia, Morocco, Oman, Pakistan, Philippines, Qatar, Singapore, Syria, Thailand, Tunisia, Turkey, UAE, the United States, Yemen and Zimbabwe.
Families and children will enjoy the exciting entertainment in the specially built ‘Fun Zone’ which will feature activities from inflatable rides to fun games to daily parades.
A main highlight of the 2011 Doha Trade Fair is the attempt to beat the current world record, for the largest board game, MONOPOLY. Q.media events will attempt to set the new world record after completing a fun-filled, life-size game of MONOPOLY that will kick off with a roll of the dice from 4pm onwards in the ‘Fun Zone’.
After the attempt at breaking the world record, the board game will be open to active Facebook fans to try their expertise at becoming the ultimate property landlord. Teams of two will compete against each other on the exclusive MONOPOLY board to gain as many MONOPOLY points as possible.  The team with the most points at the end of the competition will win the grand prize:  a brand new car.

The ten-day event, organized by Qatar Tourism Authority in collaboration with q.media events, is held under the patronage of H.E Sheikh Khalifa Bin Jassim Bin Mohammed Al-Thani, Chairman of Qatar Chamber of Commerce & Industry (QCCI).

Whatever open-hearth.
